Sooo...I got a call from the urologyst this afternoon informing me that Alex does not have a UTI. She does however, have blood in her urine even though I have not been able to see it with a naked eye since the other morning. Alex has a kidney ultrasound and a follow up appointment with the urologyst scheduled for Monday the 18th begining at 2:00 p.m. She will need to be cathaterized again for a sterile urine sample in 4 to 6 weeks to make sure there is no blood in her urine at that time. If you could pray that would be great!
Also, Alex has been very congested, sneezing and coughing since yesterday. She does not have a fever and her snot is clear which means she does not have an infection. Maybe its allergies or maybe she is teething? They can not give a baby this small medication for a cold, etc. If Alex starts wheezing, her snot turn yellow or green, if she has trouble breathing or gets a fever we will need to be seen but all they can really do is give her Tylenol and a nebulazer or if things are really bad send us to the E.R. For now we put a humidifier in her nursery and are making sure she gets to sleep and rest a lot. Last night was a bit challenging because Alex was up a lot mad and annoyed - she wanted to sleep but could not breath well with the congestion in her nose and her thumb in her mouth...eventually she fell asleep and slept into mid morning. Please pray that whatever this is it does not turn into anything...
