A Few Steps Forward and a Few Steps Back

Alex is most likely teething!!! She's kept us up over the past three nights...and is sticking her hands and MY fingers in her mouth any chance she gets! She is especially uncomfortable and fussy at night…We went to see the pediatrician today and she confirmed that Alex is most likely teething. The bad news is that even though I’ve been pretty much force feeding Alex all her meals she not only did not gain any weight but lost almost a pound…She went down from 11.10 to 10.15. The doctor said that we need to keep on feeding her regardless of how she feels about it but to try feeding her smaller amounts 4 times a day rather then 3 big meals. Alex also decided that she no longer wants to take her medicine…and spits it all out. So I will need to mix her vitamins and meds with a little bit of breast milk and try giving it to her that way. Alexandria’s right ear lobe is a bit irritated from her ears being pierced and is red around where the earring is. The pediatrician said that her ear is not infected and to clean it the way I have been but to put Vaseline on it twice a day in addition to the cleanings. My poor baby continues to be very constipated…We are to try Caro syrup once a day and if that does not work increase it to twice a day. Other then that Alex is doing well. She is not sick – thank God! Please pray that Alexandria would gain weight and that she would gain it steadily. Could you also pray that Alexandria would start to like her baby food? And that the Lord would continue to keep her healthy? Don’t forget the left kidney… J Thank you so much for your faithfulness to pray! Oh and we have some big news – Alex now rolls over from the tummy to her back all by herself!!!
